When I bought this computer it came with a CD " Alienware Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit " its a auto boot CD which just re-installs windows. as for the Serial ATA Controller Driver I am unable to find one. There should be a listing for something including the 'AHCI Controller' phrase. Open Device Manager (Control Panel > System > Device Manager in the left-hand column) and look under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers (or similar, depending on your machine). I have also noticed the clock seems to be slow from time to time and boot up is slower which I think maybe because of the BIOS battery on its way out and needs changing out as I think BIOS batterys last any thing from 2 - 10 years. If they can get someone to fork over 10 for a 'newer, up-to-date' driver, they will.
